NATIONAL ANTI-SLAVERY STANDARD, New York, Oct. 17, 1857  As the title would suggest, an anti-slavery newspaper from four years before the Civil War.
Among the articles: "The Tennessee Negro-Torturer" "Slavery In Brazil" "Prospect of a Free State In Texas" "The Pedigree of The Panic" "The American Abolition Society" "Compensated Emancipation" "Anti-Slavery In Vermont" and more.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, front page fold foxing, good condition. Folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
