NEW YORK CLIPPER, April 30, 1859 An early sports-themed newspaper subtitled: "American Sporting & Theatrical Journal".
The front page features a print of: "Yacht Club Houses In England"".
Among sports reports inside are those headed: "The Two Champions" "Sparring" "The Championship Fight - Another Account" "The Trigger" "Gallant Fight For the Championship--Victory of Sayers Over Benjamin" is very detailed; "The Turf in England" "The Game of Chess" "Chequers Or Draughts" and more.
Eight pages, a bit irregular at the spine, some older repairs near the margins, good condition.
