* President Andrew Jackson election
Page 3 has a notable report on the results of the: "Presidential Election" noting in part: "The hour of one having arrived, the Senate attended...the President of the senate...proceed to open the votes of the electors in the several states for President and Vice President of the United States..." with a bit more and a chart showing the votes by state. Then: "...Whereupon the President of the joint meeting proclaimed that ANDREW JACKSON of Tennessee, having a majority of the whole number o votes, was elected President...".
Four pages, a bit irregular at the spine from disbinding, good condition.
