February 27, 1864

ARMY & NAVY JOURNAL, New York, Feb. 27, 1864  As noted in the masthead, this is the: "Gazette of the Regular & Volunteer Forces". The front page has much under the heading: "The Military Situation". Articles inside include: "Mobile & Its Defences" "The Grog Ration in the Navy" "The Campaign in the Southwest" "Florida & the Rebel Armies" "The Attack on Mobile" & much more.
Included also is the 16 page "Supplement" issue which is almost entirely taken up with the: "Report of Major-General George B. McClellan" on the war events from July 23, 1861 thru Nov. 7, 1862. Included are at least 3 letters signed by: A. Lincoln, and a huge number of letters signed by McClellan as well as General Halleck.
Sixteen pages plus the Supplement issue, very nice condition.
