The back page has a letter from an officer in Newport Rhode Island, noting in part: "Every thing goes on prosperously in the Jerseys; many principal people begin to think seriously of their folly & are taking advantage of the proclamation, as they see there is now no time to lose. Long before this reaches you, no doubt you must have heard of that infamous scoundrel Lee being taken, and the abject manner in which he begged his life from Colonel Harcourt; he is now a prisoner at New York and I hope will meet the fate he deserves."
Half of page 2 & some of page 3 are taken up with a speech in the House of Commons arguing against the recent "Bill to empower His Majesty to Secure & Detain Persons Charged with, or suspected of, the Crime of High Treason Committed in any of His Majesty's Colonies or Plantations in America, or on the High Seas, or the Crime of Piracy."
Four pages, never-trimmed margins, red tax stamp on page 3, good condition.
