July 24, 1790

GAZETTE OF THE UNITED STATES, New York, July 24, 1790  This is a great issue, as page 3 features a poem titled: "On the Late Doctor BENJAMIN FRANKLIN", followed by some talk of Alexander M'Gillivray and the Creek Indian Nation. Also a thought from Ben Franklin as well.
Most of the back page is taken up by  an address of the Convention of South Carolina to the President, with his response signed in type: George Washington, as well as an Act of Congress, headed with an engraving of a heraldic eagle and signed in type by: John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington.
Four pages, wide, untrimmed margins, minor ink smear on page 3, light damp staining, good condition.
