EDINBURGH EVENING COURANT, Scotland, Nov. 4, 1746  Page 2 has two reports concerning trials for those who opposed the King of England in the Jacobite Rebellion, a few bits noting: "...taken at the Battle of Culloden, was tried, and found guilty of High Treason..." and: "They write from Newcastle that on Tuesday last the following Rebels were executed at Penrith..." then the list of names. Mention is made: "...that a reprieve came there for Francis Buchanan Esq., two hours after he was executed...".
Four pages, 8 by 10 inches, very nice condition.
