COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, June 7, 1794  Page 2 has a message to Congress, signed in type: Go. Washington, and also a report noting in part: "...a gentleman immediately from New Orleans who descended the rivers Ohio and Mississippi...that a body of General Clark's party...collected at the mouth of Cumberland River...their intentions were...to proceed to Louisiana for the purpose of attacking that place..." with more. This was William Clark of Lewis & Clark fame, and this expedition against the Indians would lead to the Battle of Fallen Timbers.
A page 3 item says Dr. Priestley arrived at New York, and another says John Q. Adams was appointed by the President to be Resident of the U.S. at the Netherlands. Also the Governor's Message signed in type: Samuel Adams.
Four pages, very nice condition.
