NILES' WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Oct. 19, 1816 The issue begins with over 2 pages being a dateline of the major battle of the Napoleonic War in Europe & the efforts of Napoleon, near the end of which is an entry: "1815 - Waterloo or Mount St. Jean--Bonaparte, after a most destructive battle,...against the allies under Wellington & Blucher, is defeated and totally routed...".
Inside has: "The Barbary States" which begins: "The Algerines are a brave nest of pirates, and have for nearly three centuries almost defied the efforts of Christendom..." with much more. Then a letter: "To Napoleon" which begins: "When the motion was made in the Tribunate of France to confer on you the title of Emperor & for making that title hereditary in your family...".
Sixteen pages, 6 by 9 1/2 inches, various foxing throughout plus an ink stain in a margin, some pages printed a bit askew but no loss of text.
As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
