NILES' WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Nov. 12, 1814  Includes a half page letter from Capt. Warrington to the Sec. of the Navy concerning the recent: "Cruise of the Peacock". Also within: "...Letter from A. Sinclair, Commanding the U.S Naval Force on the Upper Lakes to the Sec. of the Navy" which reports on the: "...mortifying...report...of the vessels left in the upper lake having been surprised & captured by boats of the enemy...". Then another letter fro Sinclair written on board the Niagara.
Various reports under: "Events of the War", and a letter signed by D. Porter to the Sec. of the Navy. 
Sixteen pages, 6 by 9 inches, good condition.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
