BOSTON DAILY ADVERTISER, Oct.1, 1863 It's always great to find news or advertisement tidbits about historic figures long before their names would draw national or international attention. Here is a great example.
Near the top of the front page is an intriguing advertisement for the play "The Apostate" at the Howard Anthenaeum, noting the role of Pescara is to be played by "Mr. Wilkes Booth" (see).
Given this is a Boston theater, this report of John Wilkes Booth would only be found in a Boston newspaper.
