THE DETROIT FREE PRESS, July 1, 1942 Inside this issue (page 13) contains a full page advertisement for war bonds with the heading: "'Bonds' or Bondage?; the Choice is Up to You!" which shows the Statue of Liberty wearing wrist shackles with a chain hanging off the Nazi symbol (swasika). The background is in blue coloring. The advertisement is for the "The Ernst Kern Co." which was based in Detroit. this ad measures 22 x 16 inches.
News, sports and other advertisements of the day with much on World War II. Complete with all 28 pages, light toning and some wear at the margins, the mentioned ad is fine, otherwise good.
