The top of the front page has a two column headline: "NEW COAST-TO-COAST MARK SET BY THE YANKEE DOODLE IN FLIGHT TO LOS ANGELES" with subheads. (see) First report coverage on the record breaking transcontinental flight of the "Yankee Doodle". This plane and captain would crash and be killed about a week later. Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication.
