THE BOSTON GLOBE, July 6, 2002 A very notable issue, particularly in a Boston newspaper, report the death of Boston Red Sox legend Ted Williams. The top half of the ftpg. has: "ADIEU, KID" with a large photo showing him at bat in 1947, beneath which is a banner head: "Red Sox Legend Ted Williams Does at 83".
The ftpg. of the sports section has a nice tribute as well (see), plus "Section G" is totally devoted to the life & career of Ted Williams with the entire ftpg. being a photo of him headed: "A Life Remembered"
The complete issue with 7 sections, very nice condition.
