NEW YORK TIMES, Nov. 30, 1924  One column headlines on the front page of the sport's section report: "NOTRE DAME BEATS CARNEGIE TECH, 40-19" "32,00 See Rockne Team Uncover Brilliant Aerial Attack on Snow-Covered Gridiron" and more. (see)  This report is of the regular season Notre Dame win against the Carnegie Tech (Mellon) Tartans. This was the most famous year for Notre Dame football as the team consisted of the famous four horsemen and ended the season undefeated with the national college football title. This was the last regular season game for the 1924 Irish.
