NEW-YORK TIMES, June 15, 1870

* Cincinnati Red (reds) Stockings
* 84 game baseball win streak ends
* Brooklyn Atlantics

Page 2 has column heads regarding the defeat of the Cincinnati Red Stockings by the Brooklyn Atlantics, ending their phenomenal 84-game winning streak. Included is a fine summary of the game, noting that there were 20,000 spectators "...in and around the Capitoline Grounds..." to watch the exciting game.
Of particular interest is the observation at the end of the summary: "The only drawback was the miserable partisan character of the assemblage which was the most discreditable gathering we have seen on the Capitoline Grounds for many years."
Includes the box score. Great to have this report in a newspaper from where the event occurred. Eight pages, small repair on pg. 2, nice condition.
