SUPPLEMENT TO THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, 1773 Certainly the prime content in this issue is the five page article: "An Epitome of the Voyage round the World by Lt. Cook..." which is the continuation of a ongoing report of his historic voyage (photos show only portions). This article is accompanied by a very nice foldout map titled: "Chart of the Track of the Dolphin, Tamar, Swallow & Endeavour through the South Seas; & of the Track of M. Bougainville round the World". The map folds out to measure 10 1/4 by 11 1/4 inches and is in very nice condition.
There is also an article: "Queries concerning the Ancient Form of the British Crown" which includes 8 prints of the early crowns of England (see).
Complete in 26 pages. They did not use a full title/index page with the Supplements as was done with the monthly issues. Measures 5 by 8 inches, very nice condition.
