This uncommon Midwestern title has news of the day with many advertisements. Page 2 has a somewhat inconspicuous article with small heading: "Gen. Tom Thumb" See image for brief report here. Still a 1st report though.
This issue is not fragile as newsprint back then was made of cotton and linen rags, allowing them to remain very pliable and easy to handle. Complete in 10 pages, minor irregularity along the spine, very nice condition.
