ST. LOUIS GLOBE-DEMOCRAT, Missouri, June 18, 1883

* Victoria Hall disaster
* Sunderland, Great Britain
* Children holocaust

This uncommon Midwestern title has news of the day with many advertisements. Front page has an article headed: "THE SUNDERLAND HORROR" "The Lives of 188 Children Known to Have been Lost in the Stampede" and more. (see) Text takes up just over 1 full column.
This issue is not fragile as newsprint back then was made of cotton and linen rags, allowing them to remain very pliable and easy to handle. Complete in 10 pages, very nice condition.
