This uncommon Midwestern title has news of the day with many advertisements. The front page has an article headed: "Horrible Massacre" "General Canby And Others Killed By The Treacherous Modoc" and more. (see) Text takes up over a full column.
This issue is not fragile as newsprint back then was made of cotton and linen rags, allowing them to remain very pliable and easy to handle. Complete in 4 pages, minor irregularity along spine, nice condition.
