March 06, 1837
THE GLOBE, Washington, D.C., March 6, 1837 Page 3 has a report headed: "The Inauguration" of President Martin Van Buren, with much detail. Page 2 has the full text of the: "Inaugural Address of Martin Van Buren" which takes 2 1/2 columns, but unfortunately a hole causes loss to a portion near the top (see).
Page 2 also has the: "Farewell Address of Andrew Jackson" signed by him in type: Andrew Jackson, taking most of the page.
Great to have this inaugural content in a Washington, D.C. newspaper. Save for the noted hole, good condition.
