Page 6 has a report from the 'Charleston Mercury' on Lincoln, noting: "...a portrait of Mr. Lincoln, 'And a horrid looking wretch he is!--sooty and scoundrelly in aspect--a cross between the nutmeg-dealer, the horse-swapper, and the nightman--a creature 'fit evidently, for petty treason, small stratagems, and all soerts of spoils..." with more (see). There is also a lengthy letter from Springfield concerning Lincoln (see).
