Presidential election day... Wilson vs. Roosevelt...

Item # 596447

November 05, 1912

ALBUQUERQUE MORNING JOURNAL, Albuquerque, New Mexico, November 5, 1912  The front page of this issue carries articles pertaining to the presidential election being held that day. Headlines are: "Three Candidates For President Campaign To Last Minute"; "Roosevelt Makes Last Appeal to Votes Of His Home Town"; and "Headquarters To Have Complete Returns From All States" with additional articles on pages 2 and 4.
The last page has an article "New Mexicans To Cast First Vote For President" with subhead "With Closing of Polls Tonight Residents of State Will have Participated in All Duties of Citizenship". This would be the first presidential election since New Mexico received statehood at the beginning of the year.
This is complete in eight pages with a slight irregular left spine, otherwise in good condition but should be handled with some care.
