THE NEW YORK TIMES, October 17, 1969
* New York 'Amazing Mets'
* World Series Champions
The front page features a four column, two line head on one of the more amazing come-backs in baseball history: "Mets Win, 5-3, Take the Series, And a Grateful City Goes Wild"
with subheads "Fans Storm Field" "Thousands Rip Up Turf After a late Rally Defeats Orioles" with a very lengthy report which continues on the sports section. There are two related photos on the front page and several within the sports section (see photos). A related front page article is titled: "A Paper Blizzard Wraps City in a Blanket of Joy".
Other news, sports and advertisements are within. This is complete in 96 pages and is in very nice condition. Never bound nor trimmed. Terrific to have this report in a New York City newspaper.
