Among the front page one column heads on the Civil War are: "LATE REBEL NEWS", "From Wilmington", "Charleston & Savannah", "The Canadian Raiders", "From the Army of the James" and "The Capture of Fort Fisher--Official Dispatch of Rear-Admiral Porter" which is signed by him in type: D. D. Porter, Rear-Admiral (see photos).
Also of significance is the very lengthy front page letter signed in type by the President of the Confederacy: Jefferson Davis.
Eight pages, nice condition.
