Page 41 has an inconspicuous yet very notable report relating to the psychedelic era of the 1960's, being an early report of Dr. Timothy Leary. The report is headed: "Harvard Ousting Aide In Drug Case" and "Professor is Said to Have Used Students for Tests" which is actually about Dr. Richard Alpert, however further into the article is mention that: "...Dr. Alpert's letter was also signed by Dr. Timothy Leary, a lecturer on clinical psychology. The two described changes produced in the mind by the consciousness-expanding drugs as similar to those produced by the printed word or the power of suggestion. They said there was no evidence that the drugs were 'uniquely dangerous'..." with more Leary was known for his advocacy of psychedelic drugs while teaching at Harvard University. In 1967 while at a "Human Be-In" Leary spoke to a gathering of 30,000 hippies in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco and uttered the famous phrase, "Turn on, tune in, drop out".
A very notable issue, complete in 76 pages, nice condition.
