A great issue on the events leading up to the historic Battle of Bull Run, with the front page featuring a large & detailed map headed: "Theatre Of The Grand Army Of The Potomac. The Field of Operations of the Corps d'Armee Under Gen. Irwin McDowell, July 17, 28, and 19, 1861--The Advance on Manassas Junction." The balance of the ftpg. is taken up with a wealth of war reporting with over half of the first column having headlines including: "THE REBELLION" "Hasty Retreat of the Enemy Before the Invading Columns" "Gen. McDowell's Official Report" "Predicted Retreat of the Rebels from Manassas" "Preparations for a Bloody Battle at Richmond" and much more. The 3rd column has: "A Fight At Bull's Run - Battle Between the Rebels & Union Troops...".
War-related content inside including much editorial commentary on the battles. The back page includes a one column map of the: "Battle of Rich Mountain" (see).
Complete in 8 pages, very nice, clean condition.
