The ftpg. has nearly a full column on a continued "Report of the Secretary of State on the subject of the Cod & Whale Fisheries" signed in type: Thomas Jefferson. Rare to find ftpg. Jefferson signed documents.
The back page has an ad for "Pintard and Bleecker" concerning the sale of certificates & public securities, with further details (see photos). Leonard Bleecker was one of the founders of the first New York stock exchange, & it was for him that Bleecker Street was named (see photo). The bkpg. also has an ad for: "Manuel Noah, Broker...". Noah was Jewish and the father of the very prominent Mordecai Manuel Noah, referred to as the most influential Jew in the United States in the early 19th century.
