* Haymarket Square riot
* Chicago IL Illinois
* Anarchy - Anarchists
The top of the front page has nice reports on the Haymarket Square riot in Chicago, with column heads: "The Latest From Chicago" "Another Officer Shot Down in Cold Blood" "Diabolical Plot of Anarchists Discovered" "Mob Inciters in Custody--Gossip & Rumor" "The Nocturnal Slaughter" "Graphic Account of the Chicago Socialistic Riot" "The Unexpected Attack on the Police" & more.
What started as a peaceful rally in support of striking workers turned quickly to tragedy as an unknown person threw a bomb into the police, striking fear across the country that anarchist groups were exercising attempts to overthrown all governments.
Four pages, light browning, otherwise good condition.
