THE NEW YORK TIMES, Sept. 6, 1890

* Hatfield and McCoy hillbilly feud of Kentucky and West Virginia
* Family war comes to an end (1st report)
* Rare to find reporting on this

Although thought by many to be more lore than fact, the Hatfield - McCoy feud of the late 19th century was very much reality & occasionally made the newspapers. Here is a nice front page report in the revered TIMES, headed: "A Long Feud Ended" "The Hatfields And M'Coys Agree To Live Hereafter In Peace" with the article mentioning in part: "The famous Hatfield-McCoy feud is at an end. After participating in the butchery of all the men they could kill, after living as outlaws with prices on their heads...they have at last agreed...to let the matter rest..." with more (see). A great item on the nation's most famous family feud.
Complete in 8 pages, evenly toned, somewhat fragile so it must be handled carefully. Some minor tears at the margins, otherwise good.
