June 07, 1944

THE NEW YORK TIMES, June 7, 1944  Although a later edition of the June 6 Times issue first reported the D-Day invasion, this issue has a great three line banner headline proclaiming the turning point of World War II: "HITLER'S SEA WALL IS BREACHED, INVADERS FIGHTING WAY INLAND; NAZIS LOOK FOR OTHER LANDINGS" with a photo of Eisenhower visiting paratroopers before the D-Day invasion. Many related subheads on the front page as well. Complete in 34 pages, never bound nor trimmed, very nice, clean condition. A very historic headline in this most desired newspaper.
