THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, November 11, 1780 The bottom of the front page, carrying over to page 2, has what would seem to be an mention of the battle of Fishing Creek, South Carolina, which was a British victory & opened the way for a British invasion of North Carolina: "...says that two days before he left that port he has received advices from Charlestown that Colonel Tarleton, with a detachment from Lord Cornwallis's army, had taken a town on the frontiers of North Carolina, and that his Lordship, with the rest of the troops, said to consist of 40,000 men, had marched above 20 miles into the province of North Carolina when the last dispatches came from him to Charlestown." Measures 8 1/4 by 11 1/4 inches and is in very nice condition.
