THE DETROIT FREE PRESS, Detroit, Michigan, June 12, 1937 This 28 page newspaper has one column headlines on the front page: "Amelia Makes Hop Across the Sahara" "Starts Early to Cover 1,000 miles Before Heat of Day".
This was one of the legs in a attempt to fly around the World whic h never happened (finished). She would try again a little later starting on the West Coast of the United States. This was when she disappeared forever.
Other news of the day. Light browning with little margin wear, otherwise in good condition.
