Page 2 has an ad headed: "Wanted--300 Cords Of Wood". Ad says proposals "...will be received by the Superintendent of the Treasury Building..." for 150 cords each of Ash and Black Jack wood, plus a few other details.
On pg. 3 under an engraving of an eagle and shield are five testimonies issued by the President recognizing various foreign consuls, each signed in type: John Quincy Adams.
Other news of the day. A few minor stains in unrelated content, area of lite foxing in the lower half, otherwise in good.
