Generals Hooker and Sherman...

THE NEW YORK TRIBUNE, May 28, 1864  The front page features many one column headlines covering events of the Civil War including:  "Second Day of the Attack: Hooker Does the Hard Work", "The Great Contest: General Sherman's Operations", and much more. There is additional war-related text on the inside and back pages as well.
Complete in 8 pages, generally in nice condition due to the use of "rag paper" - paper with a high cotton content.  Some staining occurs on each page which does not impact the content of the issue.  See photos for a clear representation of this issue's condition.
