NEW YORK EVENING POST, March 15, 1816  On page under Communications is a report stating that: "...the College of Physicians and Surgeons of the University of New-York recommended Thomas Cooper, Esq., for the degree of Dr. of Medicine." Contains the resolution recommending the degree. Cooper taught at Dickinson College and was an associate of Joseph Priestley. Other news of the day with advertisements.
