LIBERTY magazine, New York, October 7, 1939.

The color cover of this issue has a very nice print of a young couple with the lady exchanging the vacuum cleaner for golf clubs (see photos). There is no related article on this inside.

This includes an article entitled: "An Umpire... Looks at the World Series. Big-time jitters! - A close-up of tense moments in the biggest show on earth" by Bill McGowan. Another article is entitled: "How Bob Hope Got That Way - The sprightly saga of a wisecracking aristocrat's swift rise to radio fame" by Frederick L. Collins, which includes a photo of Bob Hope and Martha Raye.

You get the complete 68 page issue plus both the color covers, all in very nice, clean condition save for a slight bit of roughness at the very edge of the spine.  Measures about 8 1/2 by 11 1/4 inches.
