THE CONNECTICUT COURANT, Hartford, Aug. 14, 1805
* Predecessor of the Hartford Courant, America's oldest newspaper
This is a nice, early issue of America's oldest continually published newspaper, now known as the Hartford Courant, but with this title for most of its history. Over half of the front page is taken up with ads. The inside pages have various news of the day & ads as well, with the back page again taken up entirely with ads, two of which are illustrated--one for watches, and one for mirrors (see photos).
Complete in 4 pages, folio size, untrimmed margins, some scattered foxing but generally in very nice condition.
