COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, May 5, 1821 A front page report headed Newly Discovered Land begins: The schooner Express, Capt. Williams, has arrived at Stonington, from New Shetland (the land to the S. of Cape Horn said to have been recently discovered) and has brought home 25,000 valuable fur seal skins. Other details as well. Other news of the day includes: "HAYTI" "New-York Election" and much more. First leaf has a hole at the fold juncture, otherwise in good condition.
