AMERICAN STANDARD, Uniontown, Pennsylvania, July 20, 1876 Page 2 has some nice heads: "THE INDIAN WAR" "News At Last From Gen. Crook" "Within A Day's March of The Savages" with many other subheads which include: "Merritt Lying in Wait for the Cheyennes from Red Cloud" "A Party of Miners Massacred" "Insurance on Lives of Custer & His Officers" & more (see photo). This entire text takes a full column. Also on pg. 2: "Shooting Negroes--The Pitched Battle in Hamburg-- Democratic Paper's Account of the Fight--One White Man & 10 Negroes Killed" with this report of the Hamburg Massacre taking over a full column. Very large size paper, never bound nor trimmed, many folds, few small tears at fold junctures.
