November 01, 1828
SIGNS OF THE TIMES, Albany, New York, Nov. 1, 1828 The entire front page of this complete, 4 page newspaper is formatted like a broadside. I might suggest that this printer also created a bonafide broadside identical to that shown below, and conveniently used it for the front page of his newspaper that day. Very graphic with a huge engraving of an eagle and huge lettering supporting
"For President, ANDREW JACKSON : For Vice President, JOHN C. CALHOUN..." with more (see photos). The other pages have various news of the day and ads as well, looking very much like a typical newspaper. This issue is printed on rather thick-stock newsprint and is in great condition. Measures about 14 by 19 3/4 inches.
