May 18, 1799
COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, May 18, 1799 On pg. 2 under "Pennsylvania & Fries--The Traitor" is a report stating in part: "After nine days trial...the Hon. Judge... summoned up evidence against JOHN FRIES, indicted of treason...when the jury retired; and at 10 o'clock returned, with a verdict of GUILTY...."
Occasional foxing and an irregular top margin. The top left corner has some loss, and the issue has two small archival mends which are difficult to detect. Content is good.
