Rare title from Long Island...

Item # 204264 THE CORRECTOR, Sag Harbor, Long Island, New York, 1870's. This is the first time in 29 years as a dealer I have had the good fortune to find any newspaper from this small town near the tip of Long Island, not far inland from Montauk. In the 19th century it was a well known whaling town but is now known more as a playground for the rich & famous. Complete in four pages with various news of the day plus some literary content as well. The issue contains numerous ads as well, many of which are illustrated.  Minor tears at the margins and folds, a bit of scattered foxing, some even browning, but generally rather nice. A very scarce newspaper!  The issue you will receive will have the look and condition of the one shown - but actual dates will vary within the 1870's.  If a specific year and/or date is needed, please be in touch for availability and pricing.
