LONDON GAZETTE, Oct. 26, 1699 A front page report from "Rome" says: "The Pope went this week to see a Chapel the Jesuits have lately built, in which they have placed the Body of Ignatious Loyola, the Founder of their Order; This Building for its bigness is looked upon as the most magnificent in this City, and...cost them 120,000 Crowns."
