THE ROYAL AMERICAN MAGAZINE, Boston, Sept., 1774 The photo shows the title/index page of this octavo-size title which features a masthead engraving done by Paul Revere. Notable content in the "Domestic Intelligence" section includes word that "...General Gage has been pleased to dismiss the Hon. John Hancock, Esq. from his service as Colonel of the Independent company of Cadets". There is also a list of the Delegates of the Continental Congress "...assembled at Philadelphia", as well as "A Letter from Dr. Benjamin Franklin, to his Friend: Relative To Water-Spouts, &c." Issue is missing the engraving of a water-spout listed on the front page which relates to the Franklin article, has a small numerical notation in the right margin of the ftpg., some foxing, otherwise in good condition.
