HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, May 18, 1901 The frontpage cartoon is of Wall Street: "Those Lambs Were Getting Too 'Chesty'," by W.A. Rogers, and includes a related editorial article. Also included are: "The American Steel Industry," "The Elevation of Mgr. Martinelli to the Cardinalate," "The Launching of the Rival Yachts," "The Cuban Situation," "Industrial and Reform School, Guanajay, Cuba," "A Study Of Napoleon," "May-Day in the New York Parks," the doublepage centerfold "Sunday at the New York Museum of Natural History" (by Blumenschein), "The Jacksonville Fire, May 3, 1901," and "The Cog Railway to the Summit of Pikes Peak."
Often lacking is the four page Supplement (see the last two images) containing a full page of photos of the "Leading Figures of the Recent Activity in Wall Street," "Panic Days in Wall Street," the fullpage "The Rush to Buy Northern Pacific, Thursday, May 9," and another full page of photos: "Scenes During the Recent Activity in the New York Stock-Market." However, this Supplement is not always present. Although there is no additional charge, if needed, please confirm in advance.
The issue is complete in 16 pages (Supplement excluded), and is in fair-to-good condition, with only minor edge tears. See photos for details.
