HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, April 2, 1887  The front page shows a ship during a violent storm entitled "Ship Ahead!" by de Thultrup. A full page illustration comprised of seven scenes is of "The Veterinary Department of the University of Pennsylvania" which also has related article within the issue. A half-page is comprised of the persons serving as the Inter-State Commerce Commissioners. W.A. Rogers features a half-page illustration "The Republican Elephant Comes Up To Time".
The double page centerfold is "Firing a Gun in an Old Casemate Fort" by Zogbaum. "The Star-Spangled Banner" article with a small illustration on the Key Monument for San Francisco is also featured. Nice full page of "Sketches Among the Papagos of San Xavier" includes 12 scenes. "A Log Jam" is a full page illustration. The back page shows a "Mark Twain - Bust of Samuel Clements by Karl Gerhardt"  with some text on his life.
Complete in 16 pages and contains prints and related text.
