NEW YORK DAILY TRIBUNE newspaper dated January 19, 1849, with the back page containing a poem titled: "California Gold". The back page also contains many ads headed: "California" and "For California", with ads for "Hunt's Patent Gold Extracting Engine" and "Gold Washing Machines" and California Stores" and various ads for ships bound for California.
