PORTER'S SPIRIT OF THE TIMES, New York, Feb. 20, 1858 An early sporting journal with a variety of sports-related reports, but also literature and stage-related content. Front page has letter II of: "A Winter In Southern Florida". Inside includes: "'Game' in Georgia" "Should a Tax be Placed Upon Dogs" "The Camel Expedition" which was in the western United States; plus much more.
Sporting-themed masthead, 16 pages, minor foxing, nice condition.
