ALLEGANY COUNTY REPORTER newspaper from Wellsville, New York, dated Jan. 12, 1893. See the photo below for the beginning of an article which is on the front page and is headed: "The Cherokee Strip" with talk of purchasing it, which would eventually become the state of Oklahoma. This article, and another smaller one which follows, take about one-third of a column. Also on this front page is an article headed: "General B. F. Butler Dead" which includes a small illustration of him. You get the complete issue in very nice condition, with some browning at the margins.
